“GliaCloud” respects your right to privacy. Your ability to make informed choices about the use of your information is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains GliaCloud’s policy regarding the collection, use, disclosure and protection of any information we receive. If not otherwise defined herein, capitalized terms have the meaning given to them in the GliaStudio Terms of Use, which are available at Terms of Use (the “Terms”). You are responsible for reviewing this Privacy Policy periodically, as GliaCloud may periodically revise the Privacy Policy. Your continued use of the Site and/ or Services after a change or modification of this Privacy Policy has been made will constitute your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

Information we collect

  • In the course of using the platform, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you and administer your use and enjoyment of the platform (“personal information”).

    “Personal Information” means information that can be directly associated with a specific person or entity. Personal Information may include, but is not limited to, name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, credit card number. We use your personal information mainly to provide you the platform and administer your inquiries.

    We also collect the other information that you provide as part of the registration and the administration and personalization of your user experience(e.g., without limitation, individual preferences) (“non-identifying information”).

    Certain non-identifying information would be considered a part of your personal information if it were combined with other identifiers in a way that enables you to be identified. But the same pieces of information are considered non-identifying information when they are taken alone or combined only with other non-identifying information(for example, your viewing preferences). We may combine your personal information with non-identifying information and aggregate it with information collected from other users to attempt to provide you with a better experience, to improve the platform use and to analyze and understand how the platforms are being used.

  • GliaCloud may automatically collect the following information about your use of the Service through cookies, web beacon, log files and other technologies: domain name; browser type and operating system; pages viewed, links clicked and other activities via the Service; IP address; the length of time using our Services; access time; device ID or other identifiers; location and language information. We may combine this information with other information that we have collected, including, where applicable, personal information.

  • GliaCloud may provide links to third-party Internet websites. Any personal information you provide to third parties is provided directly to such a third-party and is subject to that third party’s privacy policies. Except as described above, GliaStudio is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such third parties. Links from our Site and/or Services to third parties or other sites are provided for your convenience. We encourage you to learn about the privacy practices of each party before providing them with information (including any Personal Information). We cannot be held responsible for the use of any of your information by third parties.

    How we use information

    We use the non-identifying information collected to operate and improve our platform and tools. In order to allow you to use the platform, we may be required to verify your identity. We may, directly or through third parties, verify the information you provide through certain sources or third party databases. We may also use your information to verify your identity in the event you contact us for assistance.

    In certain situations, we may use or share your personal information in order to investigate, prevent, defend against, or take other action regarding violations of our terms, illegal activities, suspected fraud, or situations involving potential threats to the legal rights or physical safety of any person or the security of our network, to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, in an emergency, to protect the health and safety of our users or the general public, or as otherwise required by law, to respond to claims regarding violation of any rights of third parties.

    We may use your information for internal analysis such as analyzing user behavior in aggregate for research and marketing purposes. GliaCloud may also aggregate transaction data and disclose such data only in aggregate and in a non-personally identifiable manner to third parties for marketing and promotional purposes.

    Aggregated information does not identify you individually. We may outsource some tasks to other companies or third parties and may share your information with those companies or third parties if reasonably necessary to enable them to assist in fulfilling the requests you make via the platform and other functions that require access to the information you supply online. In such cases, if such affiliated companies or third parties acting on our behalf are given access to the information you have supplied to us, we require that the companies abide by our policy and institute safeguards to protect the confidentiality of your information.

    Any feedback, questions, comments, suggestions, ideas, or the like that you send to GliaCloud will be treated as being non-confidential and non-proprietary, and GliaStudio will be free to use such information for any purpose whatsoever including, but not limited to, developing, manufacturing, and marketing services incorporating the information.

    Lawful Basis for Processing Your Information

    If European data protection law applies and GliaCloud acts as a controller, our lawful basis for collecting and using the information described in this Privacy Policy will depend on the information concerned and the specific context in which we collect or use it.

    We normally collect or use information from you or others only where we have your consent to do so, where we need the information to perform a contract with you. or where the processing is in our legitimate interests and not overridden by your data protection interests or fundamental rights and freedoms In some cases. we may have a legal obligation to collect or retain personal information or may need personal information to protect your vital interests or those of another person. For example, when we:

    • Use the information to create and manage an account, we need it in order to provide relevant services.
    • Gather and record data associated with the use of a digital certificate or digital signature comply with regulations.
    • Use names and email addresses for email marketing purposes, we do so with your consent (which you can revoke at any time).
    • Gather usage data and analyze it to improve our Services. we do so based on our legitimate interest in safeguarding and improving our Services.

    We will fully cooperate with any law enforcement authorities or court order requesting or directing us to disclose the identity, behavior or digital content of any user suspected to have engaged in illegal or infringing behavior.

Such third parties will assume responsibility for the personal information collected by us in connection with our business operations or through the platform and such third parties will assume the rights and obligations regarding such information as described in these terms.

    How do we safeguard your personal information when there is an international transfer?

    As we are located in Taiwan, any information you provide, will be processed and stored in the USA. If you are in the European Union or European Economic Area, this may mean that your personal information will be stored in a jurisdiction that offers a level of protection that may, in certain instances, be less protective of your personal information than the jurisdiction you are typically a resident in.

    For this reason, we have entered into guarantees to ensure appropriate safeguards. If we transfer information from the European Union to third parties outside the European Union and to countries not subject to schemes which are considered as providing an adequate data protection standard, we will enter into contracts which are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with these parties.

    How long do we keep your information?

    We will store personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collect the personal information, in accordance with our legal obligations and legitimate business interests.

    We store your personal data during the time that you are a customer of GliaCloud or a registered account holder at gliacloud.com for purposes of providing you the services, and for up to three years after you cease to be a customer or delete your gliacloud.com account.

    For customers of GliaCloud with a perpetual license, we will retain the necessary personal data for as long as necessary for us to issue you with a new license key on your request.

    If you have never been a customer or registered account holder, but have consented to receive a newsletter, we will continue to process your personal data for this purpose until you unsubscribe from this service or you have not viewed the newsletter for 12 consecutive months.

    If you have never been a customer or registered account holder, but have consented to receive other marketing inquiries or information from us, we may store your data for up to two years.

    We reserve the right to store or delete your personal data earlier or later than set forth herein if required to do so by applicable law or regulation, including the GDPR, especially where necessary to comply with statutory retention periods and for the exercise or defense of legal claims.

    How we protect information

    We make efforts to follow generally accepted industry standards to protect Personal Information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
